A film with and about Santiago Calatrava, who came to international prominence at an early stage in his career as an architect, and whose creations in various parts of the globe are popular and at the same time controversial.
Santiago Calatrava differs from other star architects due to his dual vocation as architect and civil engineer. Throughout the world, his buildings are just as popular as they are controversial. The film accompanies him to his building sites, observes him in his hectic everyday life, and in moments of calm while drawing en route. The journey leads from train stations to bridges to concert halls, airports, towers, and enables an encounter with unusual forms: sculpture-like buildings in dynamic balance and frozen motion.
